About Me

Suzanne Satterfield
Suzanne attended Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia, PA, where she studied commercial art for 2 years. Ms. Satterfield attended Harrisburg Area Community College for two semesters. As a scholarship student, she studied illustration at Moore College of Art. In 1982, she received her BFA.In 1984, she enrolled at Syracuse University and received her MFA in illustration. Using pastels, acrylic, colored pencils and watercolor she creates paintings illustrating the Susquehanna River, the Lancaster & York County area. Also, an airbrush is used to create special effects such as fog, soft skies, and light bursting behind lighthouses. Commissioned portraits of people and animals are usually done in pastels, while buildings and landscapes are done in watercolor.
